Ready to Potty Train?

Yesterday Kizzy sat her stuffed Sheep on her potty, then she took a wad of toiletpaper and "wiped" Sheep. She stuck the toilet paper in her potty and then pretended to flush. I think she might be ready to try potty training more seriously.

Kyle's Seminar

So Kyle had a seminar this past weekend that focused on improving reading comprehension and speed. Reading is something that Kyle has struggled with his whole life. Mostly he gets frustrated with him self more than anything, but this seminar was great for him. On the first day he read 1 1/2 pages in a 3 minute time period and on the last day he could read 7 pages in 3 minutes. He's excited about his new skills and is excited about reading in general. Needless to say that makes me excited and I am very proud of what he's accomplished this weekend.

These are the only pictures I have on my computer, but hopefully I'll get more soon. These are my 3 reasons for getting out of bed every day. My wonderfuly husband Kyle with our daughter Kizzy and the ultrasound image of our little boy who is soon to join our family.
So quite obviously I am not much of a blogger, but I have some time today so I thought I might try this again. Kizzy is content watching Saturday morning cartoons and eating goldfish crackers and Kyle is gone for the day at a seminar so I have the opportunity to not do anything.
Our life this past year has been challenging at best and unfortunately many of our problems lay in other people's control. There have been times where Kyle and I both have felt so frusterated, if screaming would have helped, we would have. But at the same time we have both found peace knowing that even though our life and living situation right now is less than ideal, we really are where God wants us to be right now. And we know that eventually there will be a bend in our road where our circumstances will change and we will be able to be our own family again.
Currently we are just looking forward to our baby boy joining our family in just a few months. We have decided on the name of Kendal Hyrum Holker. I think Katherine will love having a sibling. I really feel that she gets lonely in this house of Adults, with no kids and no cousins nearby. Count down until due date is only 10 weeks!
